Mateja’s educational background spans multiple countries, namely Serbia, Scotland and England, which allowed him to combine their teachings and forge his own view of the world. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics from University of Oxford and is now pursuing his PhD in Physics. Thanks to his academic achievements, he was awarded a full ride to Oxford, courtesy of the United Group and Professor Njegos B. Solak Scholarship. Additionally, Mateja was a recipient of Elton Davies Scholarship, HMC Scholarship and Oxford Marion Bradley Prize. Upon completing his degrees, Mateja worked in multiple industries, from finance to biotechnology, working on projects such as the distribution of renewable energies across European grids. Mateja is interested in combining his scientific knowledge with diplomacy, as he believes that interdisciplinarity and co-operation between such fields is the key to further societal progress. Other than science and politics, Mateja’s passion extends to literature and linguistics.
