ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the McDonnell Academy fellowship, prospective applicants must apply to an eligible doctoral or master’s degree program. You may visit WashU Graduate, Professional and Advanced Learning to learn more about eligibility, requirements, and to apply to a degree program.

APPLYING

The McDonnell Academy application is accessible only to applicants who have submitted a WashU graduate degree program application. Before inquiring about how to apply, please visit our Preparing to Apply webpage to learn more about applying.

Please note, you must apply to an eligible WashU graduate program first to access the McDonnell Academy application. The fellowship application opening date aligns with the respective graduate program application opening date. 

The McDonnell Academy application is integrated into the WashU graduate application portal. After you submit your application to an eligible program, a link to apply for the McDonnell Academy fellowship will become available on your WashU Graduate Application Status Portal. For programs that fall outside the WashU graduate application portal, such as JD, MPH, MD, and others, you will be provided with specific instructions on how to apply for the McDonnell Academy fellowship following the submission of your application.
