With experience across law, entrepreneurship, and sales, Alexandra Avelino is an MBA candidate at Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis, and a McDonnell International Scholar. Originally from Peru, she earned a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and began her career advising on regulatory and administrative frameworks for large-scale infrastructure projects at law firms.

Before business school, Alexandra founded Onileva, a Peruvian merchandising startup, where she led business development and strategic pivots during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, she worked in immigration law in New York City, focusing on asylum and removal defense. She contributed to developing successful legal strategies and made complex processes accessible, helping clients feel informed and empowered during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

When not working, Alexandra can be found playing board games, chasing her cat Chesty off the keyboard, or testing the limits of life without a car.
