Alice Hilton is passionate about grass-roots international development with a deep commitment to social change. After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Gambia, she returns to the US to pursue a Master’s in Social Work at WashU, focusing on international economic and social development. Her time in The Gambia, where she worked on teacher capacity building and education access, solidified her passion for community-driven solutions and cross-cultural engagement.

Alice holds a degree in International Studies from Boston College. Since then, she has spent much of her professional life at the intersection of education and global development, primary focusing on ensuring education access for women and girls.

Looking ahead, Alice hopes to help shape international development policies that are both socially responsive and locally informed. She is particularly interested in ensuring marginalized voices of women are represented in the design and implementation of social programs.

In her free time, Alice enjoys reading, creating video content about her experience in The Gambia, and trying her best to get into running.
