VaNetta Clark, an Educational Policy PhD student, is an award-winning educator and educational activist. Her research encompasses the emerging field of social epigenetics, specifically the influence of environmental stressors on gene expression in high-school aged youth (Post-COVID-19), and the essentiality of applied research for the educational advancement of traumatized youth. Ms. Clark is an advocate for pioneering approaches to learning, such as multidimensionality in education and the integration of Quantum Leadership. She is the President of the D.R.E.A.M.S. Institute of Ingenuity, a 501(c)(3) organization, and founder of 22 DREAMS, a fund developed to assist budding high-school entrepreneurs with resources for development and sustainability. The DREAMS Gala is held yearly and showcases the work of participating scholars from underrepresented and marginalized communities. She enjoys family, basketball, and creative expression!

Insight to Exhibition: VaNetta Clark’s Research Findings Showcased at Olin Library

VaNetta Clark’s first research study, “High-Quality Education: Insights from Exemplary Teachers on Pedagogy and In-School Community,” has been transformed into an inspiring exhibit at WashU’s John M. Olin Library, Gingko Reading Room. The study reveals significant findings that underscore the impact of high-quality education, particularly in the areas of academic achievement and emotional wellbeing. To share these impactful findings, an exhibition of artifacts from the study will be on display at in the library from now through February 1st, 2026. The An Exceptional Legacy: The Scullin School Artifact Collection (1985 – 2003) commemorates the achievements of exemplary educators from Scullin School, highlighting transformative teaching practices, student success, and community partnerships through more than 20 years of archival artifacts, including staff and student recognition awards, a White House proclamation, photographs, and national news footage.
