US Scholars - McDonnell Scholars Academy

In 2012, the McDonnell International Scholars Academy began recruiting United States (US) scholars into the program. US Scholars comprise up to 10% of each cohort. These Scholars bring an added layer of diversity for all of the members of the McDonnell community, by bringing the US perspective to global conversations.

US Scholars are domestic citizens who have spent most of their life and earned previous degrees in the United States. In addition to participating in all the activities organized by the Academy with other international scholars, US Scholars have the opportunity to spend at least three months during their time as a scholar at one the McDonnell Academy’s partner institutions. This might involve activities such as working in a laboratory where collaborative research with Washington University is being conducted, fieldwork or advanced language training.
