In 2019, the McDonnell International Scholars Academy began recruiting scholars from institutions outside of the partner network. The Academy welcomed its first Global Scholars as part of the 2020 Cohort. Global Scholars are international graduate students who earned previous degrees from an international institution or university outside of the McDonnell Academy’s partner network. In addition to participating in all the activities organized by the Academy with other international scholars, Global Scholars will have the opportunity during their time at WashU to study at one the McDonnell Academy’s partner institutions. These opportunities further connect everyone in the partnership and across the world.
